So no Mickey Mouse pancakes while watching the Twain go by this vacation but we'll be back in the Spring The interior is changed quite a bit but the outside seating looks the same, just spruced up a bit and the tables seem to be the non movable kind.

Cafe Orleans upgraded to table service after their rehab, French Market is still a scramble with hot food, Blue Bayou is table service, Rancho is a scramble with hot food. Stage Door, Hungry Bear, and now River Belle are quick service restaurants. I left out the soup place next to Pirates and Bengal because of their limited menus. This seems like a fairly good balance on that side of the park.

The place will probably be pretty slow on a cold winter night though.

You had to get to Riverbelle walking past stores and ODV's anyway.

Mexican Food 2. Very Expensive reservation only chance food 3. French Market - Jambalaya, stew 4. Cafe Orlens (Which already served salads and Sandwiches...) I think updating a restaurant doesn't mean you should change the whole menu - Especially when there was always a long line to get food here... It seems that a majority of the sit down areas are in fronteirland and new orleans area - but that is also the most open area with outside seating and a view of the RoA - The whole area is just pleasant to sit and take it all in with a good meal

This has always been a fantastic location with great family memories. Buying a stupid sandwich is not special. I do that every day of the week at work. When I am on vacation, or if we were local, on a family day out, I want something a little special. As the Tahitian Terrace is gone, and the Golden Horshoe no longer offers table service or a Revue, it just leaves the BB or Plaza. To me, Disney parks the magic was not just architecture or rides. It was entertainment, unique shopping and dining experiences, and the overall feel. Well it makes me sick how far Disney keep falling to appease the walmart crowds. I am deadly serious. This upcming trip in Feb is Disney's last chance to wow me. If I have an experience like we did at WDW last year, I am very unlikely to take my family to a US Disney park ever again. I really do want to love Disney again. What feels so aweful is it wasn't that long ago where Sarah used to seriously ask me who I loved more, her or Disney.

I've always been told that I'm the kind of person that makes lemonade out of lemons but at Disneyland, it's already lemonade. Just like with anything else, you get back what you put into the experience and what your expectations are have alot to do with that experience. I know that when I walk through the gates I'm already in a good place, a place that makes me happy. Life is static and there is always going to be change and yes, I see things that I wish were different there (like the merchandising for one) but thats not why I go. I like to feel good and Disneyland is the one sure place that I know that will happen. Decline, no. Change, yes. Some changes for the better, others not so much. But I love watching the changes and especially love everyones reactions. It's amazing.
