The convention folks acted quickly to show these idiots the door. It was not in any way a "political" statement -- it was racism at work. It should be called what it is, and not stretch to find some other "reason" for this kind of thing. It's 2012, for God's sake.

If I was forced to guess, I'd guess that racism was involved. But I don't have to make that assumption. I'm not "trollish" in the least bit. I'm reserving judgement until I'm given enough details to make an accurate judgement, unlike several others here who are assuming that racism was the motive.

Originally Posted By utahjosh <You really have to do some serious mental gymnastics to not see old white people laughing and throwing peanuts at a black person while calling them an "animal" as anything but racist.> 1) You're assuming they were old. If they were older than 60 and from the south, I'd assume some racism was there. 2) How do you know they were laughing? You're picturing the scene in your mind as something obviously racist. 3)How do you know they were peanuts? 4) You're ignoring the fact she was a Camerawoman for CNN, a network not loved by many GOP members. By the way, I DO assume it was racist, and horrible. Glad they were booted out.
