    Um, I have no clue.

Anyone else seen this, or know what it means?

All I can think of is 150 (degrees) R(ight).

    As opposed to left.

I must be missing SOMETHING here. Help!

On our curvy roads here in the mountians we often have yellow diamonds with numbers on them, just before the curves. The numbers warn you how slow you *should* be going. The scariest curve on the mountain has a 10 just in front of it, on the other hand I don't even slow down for the ones labled 40.

"R" always refers to "Route". Except the "R" should always come first, not follow. Whenever we use a number followed by an "R", it means the route has been revised. For example, roads are often straightened, so the old location is no more, it has been moved some distance due to the change in the road. So exit 142 is now exit 142R.

Somehow I'm guessing that neither of these is your answer, so could you elaborate?

I'm beginning to suspect that he saw this only in Japan and simply misremembered seeing it in America too. Heck, I've been all over the country and I don't ever recall seeing such a thing.

Perhaps it's simply a Japanese roadsign thing (although that, too, would be bizarre since there is no "R" in the language and they don't tend to write signage using Roman letters anyway).

Sorry for the frustrating topic, guys. Appreciate the input!

If it's going to keep you up at night, let me know.

I think I'm in an okay place with it lol.

    Thanks for the ideas though.

CM..maybe so. That'd make as much sense as anything else I guess.
