Just wandering; has anyone else out there heard about the recent rumor that the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" prequel IS finally gonna get released due to certain top persons leaving the Walt Disney Company? How many of you out there miss Roger Rabbit like I do? Remember when he would walk around the Disney theme parks? Yes I know they have brought out some very nice (& expensive collectibles, but it just isn't the same anymore. I miss him!!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of my favorite movies of my childhood and it would break my heart to see them make a sequel/prequel to this great film classic. I haven't heard any rumors of them making one and I hope they never do. While I never had the pleasure of meeting Roger in Disney World, I do remember seeing him in a Christmas special called Mickey's Nutcracker a long time ago.

For me my favorite thing is the three foot GIGANTIC Roger my family surprised me with for my birthday. It was so cute how they tried to hide it from me up until the end of the day

I have two beanie babies of Jessica Rabbit and Baby Herman. I'm also gonna try and find a huge Roger Rabbit plush to complete my collection. But other than that, I don't have any other Roger Rabbit stuff(other than the original Roger Rabbit VHS released in 1980s).

My favourite though is the Walt Disney Classic Collection piece with Roger and Jessica. Jessica's dress is done in a sparkly paint. Really cool.

I love the movie and hope with Eisner gone this is one of those characters that can re-emerge. :]

Roger Rabbit's a great character. I kinda felt bad for him at the beginning of the film when the refrigerator dropped on his head and they yelled at him for having birds around his head rather than stars.

Actually, the watch I had is a full color shot of Roger. It came in a wooden train box...part of a set at the Disney Store. I think others were Three Caballeros, Pete's Dragon, etc.

I'm glad I got the VHS tape a-long time ago of the Roger shorts ! At least I can pop that in to see the Toon Town boy in action !

Roger's shorts (and his short cartoons) can be seen on the last DVD release of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

It's one of my favorite DVD sets.

You are a person after my own heart. I too felt so sorry for poor Rog when they dropped the fridge on his head. I did'nt like it when Eddie kept pulling on his ears either. Even though his brother was killed by a toon. Even some of the stuff they do to poor Rog in the animated shorts like Rollecoaster Rabbit just makes me want to cry:-(

You are absolutely correct about the Spielberg thing. However, I heard from a friend with a reliable source that they (people like Spielberg) were just waiting for Eisner to get out of the way. After all, this whole thing goes back to these studio heads fighting. This was even before Spielberg had Dreamworks. He only owned Amblin Entertainment. It all came down to money (as usual) and they let fans like you me and a TON of people down. Eisner and Spielberg both tried to get the most out of Roger financially, and they did, but instead of working with each other they accused each other of using Roger and the profits for their own individual gains. What a shame!
