The entertainment offerings are similar to last year. There are Christmas versions of "Over the Waves", "Meet and Smile" and "Big Band Beat". These are all practically the same as last year. A new show called "A Little Tale of Chirstmas" is at the Cape Cod area. At least that is what it is called in the English show schedule. In the Japanese guide and during the show it is referred to as "Little Christmas Story". I think this was done so that the Japanese do not confuse "tale" with "tail". Candelight Reflections returns once again this year. I couldn't stay to see it tonight but I heard it is basically the same as before with new costumes. Overall a very modest Christmas offering this year. Let's hope that the 25th anniversary of TDL brings some additional offerings to TDS next year. Also, you will find at the begining of my photos, new pictures of the progress of the Disneyland Hotel. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Hope to have a TDL report up tomorrow. Stay tuned...

I love the stained glass domes in that lobby. I've never really liked the bland look of the Disneyland Hotel in Paris and much prefer Hong Kong Disneyland's. I have very high hopes for the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and can't wait to stay there in mid-July.

Are they planning on changing the color scheme of Tokyo Disneyland Station? I'm curious to see how the whole area will look once it's all complete.

Originally Posted By leemac <<I must ask though, why didn't they just do what they did in Paris to combat the harsh and gloomy weather? >> Paris and Tokyo's weather is actually apples and oranges when you compare them. Tokyo has a tendency to have diffuse light and grey skies (hazy too from the pollution) whilst Paris tends to have much darker and often stormer weather. Even the blue skies are different - Paris is rarely deep blue whilst Tokyo can get that. So in short: the bright pinks etc. on the DL Hotel in Paris would look washed out in Tokyo hence the cream and navys. I've got some interior artwork etc. that will be going into the next but one issue of Tales as an exclusive. They are pretty cool rooms.
Originally Posted By leemac <<Are they planning on changing the color scheme of Tokyo Disneyland Station?>> Don't think so - it is a transition space so not so important as you move from the turnstiles down to the hotel.

It's too bad they don't make the areas between the hotel, Resort Line Station, and TDL entrance more like DLP with gardens & fountains. Instead it seems they are taking away green and adding more asphalt...BAD!

Anyone wanting to see my photos will have to show interest in seeing them since they are similar to what they have already posted. Of course, mine are more in-depth in details and scorching commentary...
