Perez Hilton - who I can't stand - is at least in the entertainment industry. This just shows what we've always known: Rush claims to be an entertainer when it suits him, then a serious commentator when it suits him. In reality, he's neither; just a poisonous windbag who's bad for our country.

Limbaugh does just that. Love him or hate him=he provides discussion.

    Perez Hilton provides nothing.

Making racist commentary is not really "discussion."

What possible discussion does he provide? He sits on the air three hours a day talking to his listeners. When they call in, they all agree with him - if they don't he cuts them off so he can roundly abuse them without being interrupted.

I see absolutely no evidence that Rush Limbaugh provides "discussion."

Can you show some evidence that Perez Hilton offers anything positive to society?

Not a bit. I've already said I can't stand Perez Hilton.

Good god - is it "Argue for the Sake of Arguing" in WE's today? How on earth does anyone in their right mind get my condemnation of Rush Limbaugh equals that I'm all for Perez Hilton?

And it's the bloody Miss America pageant. What a stupid thing to judge anyway. I took issue with claiming that Rush Limbaugh is somehow a better choice than Perez Hilton and I certainly took issue that he provides "discussion."

Both Perez Hilton and Rush Limbaugh are a total waste of space. The difference is that there are people stupid enough to actually take Rush Limbaugh seriously.

No, and why would you say such a thing? Do you hate America that much, ecdc?

LOL! Yes, I suppose I do.

Or maybe it's just like most days - I wake up and see some good news about our country, then it turns out half of my countrymen ruin the party by getting drunk and hitting on the Bride and her mom.

That would be nearly impossible. Conversely, the same can be said of Limbaugh.

Oh, I don't know about that.

I think there's a strong argument to be made that if not for the notoriety gained by opposing Limbaugh, Al Franken might never have become a United States Senator. :D

I'd commend the MAO on this stroke of marketing genious, except... jeez, it's such an obviously logical move.

In the eyes of the Religious Right/Conservatives, Perez Hilton -- and, by extension, "the gays" -- created a true National Martyr out of Miss Jean Precum (or whatever her name is) last year.

Since last year's pageant, that vacuous bimbo has been making the conservative Christian circuit, vilifying Hilton, gays, and liberals in general. She whines that nasty gays want to be mean to her and to threaten the American way of life and to defile the beautiful and pure institution of The Miss America Pageant. Conservative Christians/Republicans have been eating that stuff up.

MAO is a business, not a charitable organization -- a BIG business that has been losing audience and profit. But then the Perez Hilton thing happened. And then the "Poor 'Miss America' Girl Bravely Takes on the Godless!" campaign catches fire with the cons. WHAT LUCK for MAO!

So MAO has recognized how it can capitalize on last year's incredibly fortunate (for them) controversy, publicity and sympathy. Promoting that they have a (totally unqualified) Super-Conservative Icon as a judge will provide them a ratings jump like never before.

OK, this is funny. I wonder who else gets or sees the joke.
