The Save the Plastic Bag Coalition (no, I'm not making this up) is suing the city of Manhattan Beach, California, over the city's ban on plastic bags. Among other things, the SPBC says the city failed to conduct an environmental impact report on the ban.

Actually, they might have something there. I suppose it would depend on how much bleach and other chemicals are used in the paper bags, and what sort of recycling programs are available. Still, I'll admit that the group's name alone makes them hard to take seriously.

    Paper vs plastic, meh...

Save the Plastic Bag, some people have TOO much time on their hands!!
