While we were waiting to board our plane I gave my children new back packs filled with fun stuff to keep them busy. My son received a new Game Boy game. He kept talking very loudly about all the new guns he earned while playing. "Look mom I have more guns!" My hubby had a discussion with me about my choice in games (I really need to look closer-it had a cute chicken on the front!), and we had a discussion with Carson about how we don't talk about guns while heading through security. We had a uneventful flight and arrived at the Candy Cane Inn within 30 minutes after landing. I love the Super Shuttle! We headed to DCA with a 20 minute stop at ticket booth #5 to pick up my Fantasmic Tickets. I think that was the longest 20 minutes ever. The kids could see the parks, but had to wait. We walked through DCA and both kids wanted to ride Soarnin'. I was beginning to detect attitude so I decided that we would stop for dinner first. I took the family over to White Water Snacks, and we enjoyed a yummy, quick dinner. We reentered DCA and rode Soarin'. Then we entered DISNEYLAND. My kids loved Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Pooh. I was so proud of them. We checked in for Fantasmic along the River and then shopped. Carson found a pirate sword, and Alyssa a minnie stuffie. We returned to Fantasmic, and discovered we were the third group to check in. We were in the front row. We enjoyed the cookies, and strawberries. I absolutely love fantasmic, but my kids found it to be a bit loud. They covered their ears the entire show, but loved it. We stayed in our seats and watched the Fire Works. Carson fell asleep so we called it a day, and walked back to the Candy Cane Inn. It was the perfect Mothers Day! I couldn't believe how uncrowded the parks were. I honestly expected the place to be packed! On Monday we went to Sea World. I really enjoyed the bus trip down. The driver was completely hilarious, and he explained a lot of the scenery. We entered Sea World. We touched the sting rays, saw the sharks, enjoyed the manatees. The manatee's were eating lettuce. We watched for a long time. Carson bought himself a shark tooth necklace and wore it proudly. We had lunch, and then saw Shamu. We had great seats, and were completely amazed. We took the kids on Journey To Atlantis. We enjoyed it, they did not. Dad rode it again by himself, and the kids and I plugged quarters in the machines to try and bomb him as he passed. He didn't appreciate us. We then headed into the Wild Artic, and saw Pet's Rule. I loved that show. It was Incredible! Our final stop was Shamu's Happy Harbor. My kids spent two hours running and playing. Alyssa and Carson loved the bounce area. Alyssa took a few face plants, but at the time.........I thought nothing of it. I noticed as the week went on she was developing a few werid and slightly questionable spots on her face. I'll go into that more later. Anyway, we worked our way out of SeaWorld, and decided that we has the most incredible day. We found bus #81, and enjoyed the trip home. Our bus driver had us back by Disneyland in under 1 1/2. I thought that was rather quick especially during rush hour. The stinky part of it all was he drops everyone off at their individual hotels. We were one of the last off the bus which added 45 more minutes to our time. We grabbed Subway, showered and were asleep in no time. MORE TO COME!
