I didn't realize until reading it that John Astin is not his biodad, though he is his "real" father. There's some other interesting stuff about John, who I remember best from "Night Court", in there.

A little over five years ago I was telling a date of mine about a favorite episode of the show, and when I was done she said, "That's the episode my parents worked as consultants." !!!!!! Turns out her mother went to school with the show's creator/producer/writer/director and his wife, and they remain great friends to this day. I ended up marrying this date, and I have twice been a guest at the beautiful coastline estate that Night Court built, and one of the times I was able to tell Mac Robinson and John Larroquette how much I loved their work. Alas, I didn't see John or Sean Astin there.

His wife is notoriously jealous of other women. She apparently nearly went all Glenn Close when he had to kiss Rosie Cotton during the wedding scene from the end of RoTK.
