Can someone who has done this advise what the procedure is? Do you address to yourself in care of the resort? Put your arrival date on the outside? How far in advance did you send, and can you send them back home from the resort when it's time to check out? I know I can call and find out from the guest service at the hotel, but it would be nice to hear from someone who has actually done it and find out how well it works out. As always, thanks for the info

Call the resort directly to make sure you have the mailing address of the resort. Don't let them give you the general address of WDW. Put your name on the box, C/O your resort name and in thick red marker, put down your arrival date. In the lower corner, I then put my cell number in blue. When you arrive in your room, call to bell services and let them know you have X number of packages. They will look for it and bring them to your room. Tip the guy or gal! Once or twice, they make you come and get the box. Boo! I just asked for them to bring it when they slow down. (I was not going to carry a case of water from Port Royal to Jamaica.) I send it out via the post office, so I send it a week before we leave, and I'm mindful of the way I send it. I'd never use parcel post because that is hit and miss for arrival dates. We've also sent things like sunscreen and extra first aid type of things (bandaids, extra painkillers, etc.) I have never sent anything back, though. We usually leave whatever left-over food or water or things we have to the maids or to a family next door to us.

I usually call the front desk to alert them that the food is coming so they won't store it in a hot place. Every resort we've stayed in has been great about it.

Here's the site we use: http://www.gardengrocer.com/sh..._del.php I think Disney also has their own service, but i've never used it.
