We are planning a trip in December during the value season. If the rate isn't in our budget we will be choosing either the DLH or the PPH.

Does anybody know if the PPH still offers the tram service to the park? I read somewhere that they offer it, but was wondering if it was still offered.

Thanks for any info you guys can give me and have a magcial day.

CM said that seniors get a discount and that the rate applies to two rooms. She said that was an incentive to bring the grandparents! LOL!

So have a couple of rooms reserved under the senior discount. Will see if we can get better rates with the AP closer to the trip.

Also, since you are going in December, Expedia and a few of the other reservation companies are offering the "buy 3 nights, get one free" at the 3 resort hotels. We stayed at the Grand last November, and our room averaged $200 a night (before taxes and resort fees).

In Nov DLH is $210 for a standard & $245 for a view. W/ 35% senior discounts that would be $136.50 standard & $159.25 for a view. GC is $280 for standard, $360 for view. W/ discounts $182 for standard & $234 for view. PPH is $165 for standard & $215 for view. W/ Discounts $107.25 for standard & $139.75 for view.

On expedia, December rates looked like they were the same for DLH & GC. I couldn't find rates for the PPH. I don't know what the rates would be directly from the hotels. But that is an awesome discount even if the actual prices are a bit higher.

My dad just got done booking our stay. They offer senior discounts to people 60 and over. There is a limited number of senior rates available, so you will want to call ASAP to make sure you can get one.

    Rates for GC are:
    Standard View: $210
    DTD View: $249
    Theme Park/Pool View: $273

These rates include tax. There is also a charge of $11.50 per day, just because they love you. hehe :) It is for the newspaper, car, internet, and probably something else.

We didn't ask what the other prices were for the other hotels. Sorry.

Have a magical day and I hope I helped get a few more people (families) the chance to stay at the Grand. :) If they didn't have the discount we sure couldn't stay there.

We also have reservations for Nov 29th thru Dec 2nd with a senior rate. With a DTD view and that is $193 per night so they told us the total would be $700.35 before the $11.50 per night. The standard view rooms for the senior rate were already sold out and I booked in Feb. DH is very excited about a room with a DTD view we have never had one before. lol

We just got lucky a few years ago and I asked if there were any better rates than they were quoting and they told me about the senior rate and luckly my mom had just turned 60. They did ask to see her ID when we checked in. It has saved us money buy them having that rate cause we really like to stay at the Disney Hotels. We have not been able to get any ap rates in so long darn it. LOL
