She said that the clock is stopped at 4:00, because this is the time that Walt died. however, upon googling that fact, I found that Walt died at 9:30am. So, why is the clock stopped at 4:00? Did you read Werner Weiss' recent article describing how a DLR bus driver told the story how Katella Ave. was named after Walt's two daughters Kate and Ella? http://www.yesterland.com/katella.html It really is frustrating to hear these types of stories coming from the CMs. I know their intentions are good, but I wish there was a way to minimize it from happening.

I believe 4:00 was chosen because that was the time that the park was dedicated, but that could also be another urban myth. I don't know the exact time, but it seems about right (judging by when they had the ceremony on the 50th with the music video and the dove release), and it would have been a pretty good time for live TV coverage across the country as well.

Alot of the small details in the park are a subtle reminder of those that helped design it. I've been spending a lot of time researching such things...if I find a different story I will share... ....if not, I will ask a different CM every day of my next visit and see how many different answers I get...

I didn't think I'd ever see that again after they closed the walkthrough and then re-did it, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it.
