There will be larger crowds on the weekends, but that's just the nature of the parks, year round. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more people there the weekend of Mothers Day, but I have no idea what it's been like on that weekend in the past.

Seems like the first 3 weeks of September, after Labor Day have been the slowest of the year.
