Maybe a few of you remember me asking a sort of thing about January a year ago lol. Well, I had planned to go in January since I had time off, but due to money and no SM being around, went to Cambodia and TDR instead :). How do you go from France to Cambodia, yeah don't ask lol. It was a trip I would never trade for though.

Anyway, there's a good chance I will be stopping into Europe for maybe a week or two in early Febuary and yes, thinking of trying to see this park again. I was going to cross it off my list until I get a wife and 3 kids, but after seeing TDLFAN's pics here again, I just got the major urge to do it anyway, but Febuary is the only time I can really go.

So, in terms of weather, is it about the same or worst than January. I imagine the same, but you never know, right? Also, will the parks be pretty dead by then, since I will only have maybe 1-2 days to see them, I want to do as much as possible and it will be my first time to see WDSP. As much as that park looks like it sucks, it eats at me everyday that it is the only one I haven't been to, so I have to do it lol, even just for a few hours.

Lastly, what can I expect closed/renovated during that time. OF course, I don't expect anyone to know exactly what will be shut down now, but maybe traditionally certain rides close at this period. Like I said, not having SM there last year is what really kept me away. Obviously, I would like to see the new version if possible. The rides I MUST ride while there are POTC, HM, SM, BTM and Casey Jr. Train (BOTH times I missed it and didn't realize until a few weeks ago its a little different there). I can miss Casey Jr, but if any of those 4 major rides are normally down, may have to rethink the trip again :(. What about the Lion King show, will that be running normally at that time?

Okay, hope to get some responses. I think I can stand the cold, but not sure yet, so wanted to see if it's something worth doing.

The Lion King show should be running year round, but they could be stopping for 2 weeks or so for small rehabs etc. I don't know when that is in the winter. Also one of the E-tickets could be closed as they often do in winter for rehabs.

When in the WDS don't miss Armageddon, Cinemagique and of course the Rock n'Roller coaster. The rest is so-so.

That being said we got on with it and had a great time anyway! It's all about when you can get there I guess, the week previous to our arrival had been quite pleasant I believe, so I suppose you take your chances. If this is your only opportunity then I'd say it's worth the risk, but take a ski jacket and some thermals just in case lol!

IF IF IF this is the same as last year (which i doublt since Karl Holz the new CEO actually CARES for Disney standard), you'l find a Main Street totaly ruined by cheap and flashy decorations and CRAPPY pop songs around Town Square. I would definitely advise you ot come around Easter, the events is held in a much Disney way and the weather is very nice andnot so many crowds.

I already had the ppleasure KiNOO, as I was there back in Feb 2005 and got to see Le Carnival Des Brats! Not much of my cup of tea and totally out of place with Main Street's feel.

February can be cold one week (really cold) and mild the next. You can never tell. As for attraction closures, it's not uncommon for e-tickets to be closed. The attractions that will definately be closed are:

    Casey Jr,
    Storybook Canal Boats
    Autopia

If it's TDLFAN's pic that inspired you to go there, keep in mind that he went in late summer on a lovely day. The park is really at it's upper best then, with the nice weather and green scenery everywhere.
Mind you in february all the trees are bald and the weather is usually grey. It's a complete difference..! (only Phantom Manor seems to improve on it ;) )

Personally, I would only go at christmas season during the cold months, because it fits.
But truth is, places like Adventureland and Frontierland just don't so have much the feeling they should have.

But, if this is your 'only' chance, then I'd say take the risk. I have the advantage of living 'close' and being able to choose when I go... But if the situation would be vice versa, i'd also just take my chances and hope it will turn out all right.

    DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!!

Yeah, the second I got the first few responsese, I went into crisis mode and see if I can figure out a way to go earlier like November or December. Here's the thing, I *can* go during these times actually, BUT, I had already made plans to spend a month in SouthEast Asia AND see HKDL. Yeah, I know, crappy HKDL or DLP, but I never been to HKDL obviously and would like to check it out for myself and say I been if nothing else (plus Hong Kong is my baby :)).

Also, there are other reasons why I want to go in Febuary. Although going there is more inconvient in terms of DLP, it's more convient for me in terms of time and being able to spend more time in England to see my friends. Plus, I will be doing a lot of plane hopping in the next few months and I know anytime after Christmas will be cheaper, period.

So, I DON'T KNOW!!! Honestly, I was hypnotized by TDLFAN's pictures. I have my OWN pics of the place lol, but I guess it's been awhile since I seen them, so I would like to go again, but I don't know if I want to do it in 0 degree weather either. At the same time, I LOVE Thailand and will maybe take a side trip to Vietnam for a few weeks (first time :)), so obviously those places I don't want to skip just for a week in Paris (and obviously a few weeks in Thailand versus a few weeks in Western Europe is a massive difference in the pocketbook ;)) if I decide to go in November. I will have to choose since I can't do both in my budget and time frame.

Honestly, I don't have money for any of it lol, but it never stopped me before ;). I don't make it to Europe very often, so it would be cool to go back, but I simply don't have enough time to do it all (and in reality, I probably will have to let something give unfortunately).

So, at the MOMENT, I'm going to stick with my original plan and go in Febuary. Again, DLP is really just a side-trip as my main plan is really being in London with my friends. I think I will just go there and make all the plans to be in Paris anyway, but if it's not looking too great weather wise over there, I will just save my money and hit on cute drunk British girls in London for a few extra days. So it won't be that bad since I won't really be going to Paris as the main trip anyway and can always change my mind when I'm there.

Besides, after being back home in L.A. for six weeks and spending all my dough on movies, Disneyland, dance clubs and gas lol, I probably won't be able to afford the subway just to even get to DLP by the time I get there ;D.

Question: Can someone tell me when do they put out the refurb schedule? For example, how soon would I know what will be down in Feb.? Maybe that will help me a little more. Thanks guys :)
