I wish I had stayed home.
While the park was crowded, it was not jammed packed as it has been other years... To be honest...I could not care less the ABC Soaps since they are not as superior as the CBS ones... and trust me.. It's no longer a treat to see La Lucci looking gaunt for the 10th year in a row. Could this woman have a burger at least once in her adult life? Please?

As for this event being their 10th anniversary, the merchandise was blah and boring to say the least. "Daytime Diva" in pink letters on black tees... Boring.

The lineup... well... I was not impressed. These are some of Soap's frumpiest casts ever... some pretty boys and some pretty girls, and while some seemed tobe personable enough with fans, others seemed perplexed at the amount of adoration. One Cast Member in particular...Kamar de los Reyes Magos or something like that...seemed full of himself. Who does the little latina queen think he is? Other Cast members were like...thinking to themselves "Get a life you oversized woman!! Sheesh!" as was the case with some Fumero guy who had to deal with a woman going..goo-goo-gaa-gaa over him... "I think I am going to faint!!!" she said. If it wasn't because I respect the cleanliness of the park, I would have puked right then and there. I was I had...since the park was trashed anyways.

After going around and having to put up with loud pop music blasting out of the speakers like..all over the darn park, and having to deal with most guests smoking out of control all over the place without regards to the "Smoking Policy" and NO CM enforcing such rules, I decided to head out the door, as I could not take it any more. A pity really since it was a nice Sunday afternoon to be out and about, as were many "family" couples of both sexes out there. Who knew LaLucci had the power to bring a bear convention into Disney before the first weekend of June? LOL!!

    Anyways... There you have it.

Thanks for the accurate update like no one else can give on Soap Opera Weekend.

(And, one of these days, I hope to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy award for Best Leading actress in a Back Alley of Orange Blossom Trail)

ORGOCH: No doubt ya already won that award a long time ago, Tramp!! An' befer ya goes tryin' ta speak fer ME 'bout wantin' ta live some trashy soap life like yers--think agin!!! I got too much self-respect ta waste my life on the bad 'n the sad!!

ORWEN: Well, I just want to say that--one year--I got to meet and talk with Susan Lucci and she was such an angel!! It's just too bad that ALL MY CHILDREN isn't nearly as good as it used to be. We stopped watching it a long time ago.

ORGOCH: Heck!! I never watched the dang thing at all!! DARK SHADOWS is more my speed!!! No divorce settlements goin' on THERE!! On that show, a witch just cast a spell on a man she wanted--er on the gal who tried ta steal him away from her!! An', instead a kissin' the gal a his dreams, a man would BITE the gal while she screams!!

And one of my buddies @ the theatre (Jamie) was one of the Bauers on GL - his chracter, Johnny, isn't even dead, just off in Oklahoma. hehe
