Take a look at the reactions in this thread. There are many here with who disagree with this decision. Some quite heatedly. Hence, the frayed emotions.

Had you, me, DouglasDubh, SingleParkPassholder, woody, etc., been banned like this, does anyone really think he'd chime in and say it shouldn't have happened. It's pretty obvious that a lot of people are upset by what happened this time. Of course, there are also a lot of people gleefully "dancing on his grave", and interestingly enough, those are the people who were polar opposites to him, opinion-wise. Mob rules.
