I was expecting something truly awful given all of the negative reviews of the attraction, but, my family and I all came out smiling and laughing, finding this to be one of the funnier attractions at WDW. Ok, it's not in the same league as many of the E-ticket experiences out there, but, for what it was, we had a great time! Oh, and for the record, I did see the original Monster Sound Show that once was located here, which I thought was also funny. Anybody else out there enjoy this attraction like us?

While Sounds Dangerous has some wonderful effects and is an impressive showcasing of sound desing, you could experience the same thing in selected booths after you exited the original Monster Sounds attraction. The same technology is employed in listening booths at Rafikki's Planet Watch at AK. Unfortunately, Sounds Dangerous is another one of those replacement attractions at Disney that is probably a good show if you don't have the original to compare it to. I can see where a family can really enjoy this show (and I am glad you and your family enjoyed it). It does offer an experiene you won't likely have anywhere else (except AK), but I don't think it deserves an entire building dedicated to a lights-out, headphone listening party.

But would you really think it was on par with, say, Super Star Television--which used to be next door? Or any other attraction that does more than have guests sit in the dark and mostly listen--filling in the gaps of their own imagination. ORWEN: When I go to a theme park, I don't want to have to spend all that money just to sit in the dark and use my imagination. I mean, if I wanted to do that I could just stay at home! ORGOCH: Well, heck! Rest of us wishes ya'd just stay home, anyways!! Just think how much less crowded the parks'd be!!

Those of you to young to remember sitting in front of the radio listening to the Lone Ranger, Superman, Green Hornet, Don McNeals Breakfast Club and many others can not "get it". I think it belongs in the Disney Studio line up if for no other reason then it is entertainment history. It allows your imagination to build the sets and set the scene. Something that a huge group of carpenters cannot recreate is yours for the imagining. If one allows themselves to escape into their own mind and paint the pictures that are being vocalized there is no end to how fascinating this show can really be. Remember before there were 50 gazillion TV networks, all that existed was radio and your imagination. I love it. It's simple but entertaining in a way that no one expected. I know it's not popular but it is a good show. Be happy, those of you that were able to capture that and enjoy it for as long as you can. The imagination handicapped among us will eventually win out and get this show closed. It is everybody's loss, in my opinion.

You would be better off saving yourself some money and just staying home to listen to the radio. When guests go to a theme park, they expect to get what they paid for. SOUNDS DANGEROUS was merely a cheap excuse to fill an empty space. It appeal to the masses is very limited and isn't at all what a coven of witches would fly their tired broomsticks all the way from Morva to see. We prefer something that has more of a WOW factor with tons of repeatability. ORWEN: Even at Epcot I feel cheated on portions of the latest Figment attraction over there--when they leave you sitting in the darkness just to hear a train roar by. Everybody's heard a train roar by now. Why waste any time on it while sitting in the dark inside an expensive show building? It comes across as some accountants way of copping out on something that might have meant spending a bit of money they didn't want to spend. Oh, well...maybe some ducklings aren't bothered by that sort of thing. But this witch is.

I experienced the attraction once and it was ok, but it's not something I'd do over and over again and I think it's time it should be replaced. I don't think that makes me "imagination handicapped". I'm an avid reader who loves letting my imagination set the scene when I read. I think this attraction is sub-par compared to others because it's the same story over and over again. Perhaps if they featured a variety of stories instead of just one, the attraction would be more popular. I certainly would've checked it out more than once. It's like reading the same book over and over (and over and over and over).

That is great. I am referring to the ones that have dismissed it out of hand. Decided that it had no redeeming value simply because it didn't fill everyone's need to translate value into something one can see and not just hear. I certainly didn't intend to describe everyone. That being said, I think the park has room for a different type of attraction that "Sounds Dangerous" represents. It's not for everyone, like ToT, Mission Space and many others are not for everyone. Look how many people there were that thought 20k leagues was lame and silly. I was one of those but I was saddened when it was closed because I felt that, even though, it wasn't the best I had seen, it was unique enough to warrant some respect. The same can be said for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. To me it was a carnival fun house with day glow cardboard cutouts but it became a cult to a lot of people. I just think that there is a place for everything and understanding what this attraction represents by using ones imagination makes all the difference. It too deserves to stay.

Thanks for all of the comments. We enjoyed the show, but realize that it is not a major attraction. But neither was Monster Sound Show. Both were fun experiences (I actually got picked to do the monster growls of Martin Short many, many years ago!).
