She said that for every flight they take they get a free one. She was working at the festival so I couldn't chat with her about it : ( She said to inquire about it thru Southwest. Anybody heard of such a thing? She said it was different from the Rapid Rewards plan, specifically for Ap holders.

I called the SW Visa customer service and asked if it's possible to get a 0% introductory rate and if they could waive the $59 annual fee. She said no. I have excellent credit and all of my cards are 0% (except that darned Disney Visa : ( card which I have to treat like a debit card). Anyway, I think this is how that woman is managing DL every other month. She must be staying off property at a Holiday Inn, that seemed to be the majority of the hotels listed on the Priority Club's website. Also, if you charge your airline tix on your SW Visa you get double points and points are $1=1mile(even better when doubled), so that's much better than my Disney Visa's $1 for every $100 spent. btw..I called DLR and asked if they have any special offer with SW or any other airline for AP holders and the answer was no.

This is why I'm on a mission to get us there more often, AP's(yay!), AP rates on hotel rooms(double yay!), now I just need to find a way to get cheaper airfare.

We earned enough points to have up to 8 free nights at a Hilton-owned property (It varies by location and property class). I really wanted to drive so we could save $550 and I could bring things like my OWN perfectly squishy pillow and the foot massager. And after last year's flights I told him it didn't save us any time at all.

When we take the 4 hour drive to Tahoe every Summer they ususally fall asleep for half of it. I suggested driving at night when they are tired anyway. I just LOVE to look at the map every so often to see our progress..no matter where our road trip takes us.(well, not local trips of course).

My hubby is meeting us down there on 11/30 to pick up the kids so my mom and I can enjoy the Candlelight Ceremony without them and we offered to have him fly down and we would fly home. He figured out it would take longer to fly then to just drive, so even though it would be cheaper ($59 one way at the time for SWA) he doesn't want the "hassle" of flying. Tell your hubby to give the driving a chance and it's also nice to have your own car down there if you want to do something (gasp I know) else!!
