So let me get this right, they are taking the last original Epcot attraction (and my personal favorite) and changing it like they did with the others? I'm not sure I'm really excited about this, infact I'm not too happy about it. I thought the SE was a classic ride, and any changes to it should have been with the techology featured on the ride. I truly hope this envision your own future idea I read about is as enjoyable as the original ride. I just loved looking up at the Earth on the top of the dome as we begin our decent, I sure hope they don't take that away.

Personally I would just count my blessings that Spaceship Earth isn't taking the path of Horizons. Of course it would be difficult to do that to the very ICON of the park...but still it's possible.

I think the new stuff I saw going on has more to do with the end of the attraction in the Semens area and not so much the ride itself.

Universe of Energy was more impressive in it's initial video than Ellen's comedy, Horizons gave you a choose your own adventure, World of Motion was cool as well. Journey into Imagination was great for me, I was only 9 at the time, and I just loved Figment. The Land featured the Kitchen Cabaret, and there was The Living Seas, the only rideless pavillion, and the most boring. Don't forget about the Comunicores. Not all of the changes have been bad ones, but I do miss the original too.

I would have loved to be there as well, but I was busy being born that year ;).

However, we started visiting when I was fairly young and I LOVED Kitchen Cabaret. Especially the time my family was the only ones in the whole theater and they found out our names and gave us a shout out :).
