    Ad, right now I'm feeling close to normal (though still nowhere near ready to try to get cancer again), but from what the urse told me on the phone earlier, days 5 through 10 are the worst, so I'm not looking forward to then, as day 5ish is when the scabs come, apparently.

    Oh boy, you sound like you had your share of illnesses. Yes, the scabs do appear around the 5th day. My son had his out at 3 and it never bothered him. Go figure but it is a lot worse for adults. Hope the pain is minimal? Keep taking your happy pills and I hope you feel better soon.

    Having tonsils out as an adult is harsh indeed. The nurse is right watch out for yourself esp days 5-10 that is the time that we often see post op bleeding. So even if you get to feeling better take it easy just stay well hydrated and rest. Take care.
