Then I found out Indy will be closed next week :( I was thinking Thunder Mountain but he is not a huge coaster fan and while Thunder is very tame by my standards, it might not be for him :) I would love to hear your suggestions.

There are other rides I'd say to run to first thing based on crowds and what will be busy later that may have lower crowds in the morning, but solely based on having him experience something great first thing, I would say Pirates. Then just follow the path over to the HM and then to Splash Mountain. Maybe by then he'll be ready for Big Thunder!

ABBY, if you are going to be there longer than 1 day and if your husband really digs trains, you might want to try to ride in the Lilly Belle assuming they still do that later in your trip (you have to set it up first thing in morning).

The perfect - "intro" attraction to re-acquaint himself with DL.

    Take my word for it.

Oh .. and of course .. a full circle.

Don't get off at any of the stops. Complete circle!

I told him it might scare him but it was worth being scared for the experience :) We'll see how he handles Thunder. Thanks for all the comments to my post. We'll be on our way to the airport in 12 ours! YAY!!!! How am I ever going to sleep tonight???

Had I not been late to the party I would for sure have gone with the Grand Circle Tour on the train. We still do that first thing.

I too think it stinks to lock out the Lily Belle.
