It's been rumored for several weeks that the SunCal deal is falling apart and SunCal is trying to walk away from the project entirely. First SunCal failed to make the payment to the Frank family that owns the land on the escrow extension due in October. Then they sued the Frank family to try and remove the blame from SunCal, with poor results.
