I wasn't sure anything could top that and then we went to New Orleans for 5 days in June and AYE YI YI. I LOVED LOVED it there. So this is just so hard to pick! I also enjoyed it just being my mom and I. I seem to normally vacation with a "pack" of family and/or friends. It was kind of nice moving in, out and about without coordinating an entire herd. LOL

So many people mistook her for Kelly Osbourne. My dd posed for pictures almost our whole trip because we got tired of telling folks she wasn't her!

One trip, we got to spend it with my husband's best-friend's son. Doing WDW with a child was different for us and boy, that was fun. I got to spoil him rotten. But then, I won a trip to Hawaii for 7 days in a condo. We added onto it and spent 10 days on the Big Island. I am now a snorkeler because of that trip. I saw a volcano in person. I walked in a lava tube. Some of our pictures are just so amazing. So, I will pick that one. (But beware. We're taking a Disney cruise next month followed by 10 days at the Grand and Poly. I DO doubt this will trump Hawaii, but we are going to the Bahamas...)

I got it first but we traded throughout the flight. about an hour into the flight i got so air sick! it was horrible! we landed in north carolina were we boarded the next plane, i got some gum so the pressure in my ears wouldn't hurt as much. it was only an hour and a half flight and i felt so much better! about mid flight i sneezed and my gum was shot into the hair of a lady seating infront of me, I was so embarassed but told her and she was really nice about it. got to disney world a little late, went to the magic kingdom first after throwing our luggage into our rooms and then from there went to pleasure island which i loved! didn't get to do much but loved it! but that week was a blast!

We are used to July in BC so a car with no air conditioning is no big deal. After sitting stopped in traffic on the I5 just after getting into LA, it suddenly became a big deal, boy was it hot. We did make friends with the big rig driver beside us who thought we were funny lost Canadians. The trip down was just spectacular. I had no idea the Oregon coast line was so beautiful. We keep meaning to head back there for a camping trip. And the Redwoods in North California were right up there with the forests we have here. Just beautiful. The Disney celebrations were amazing. Even the line up in DCA was fun. I kept getting calls from people at home wondering how it was going. The only thing I regret was being to shy to stop and say Hi to the LP meet up. On the way home we stopped at the Oregon caves. What a neat place. We toured through the caves then stayed at the very rustic old inn. I would certainly go back there if I found myself in the area. And from there we had a marathon drive back home and even made the ferry back to the island that night. Oh, and this was the trip that I learned to drive standard transmission on. On the I5, in an '86 Supra with a few quirks. That added an element of..um...fun. The other trip was at Christmas time. It was my first Disney trip near Christmas and the decorations and festivities were wonderful. The first morning we were there Matt takes me up to the front of the castle to have the customary Disney photo, but when the photographer asks us to move to the side for a better shot he starts telling her exactly where she needs to be (it was more politely than that sounds) which was a little odd. Then the next thing I know he has pulled out a ring and proposed. I was very surprised and excited. The rest of the trip is a blur. We had a blast. We rode in the Cabin of the Mark Twain, got to see the Christmas celebration (I can't remember the name of it at the moment, but the one with the choir in front of the Train Station). And we had super fun meals at the Blue Bayou and Goofy's Kitchen. Those are just my top two. It is hard to pick a favourite vacation. All mine include Disney.
