When Tarzan and Jane go twirling around from vines high above the stage it's quite the rush.

You don't like singing, a good, fun band, great roller blading stunts and the appearance of Tarzan and Jane and the wonderful music of the movie.

Trailsend ~ with all due respect, honestly, there is so much about WDW that I love and so much about me (pretty much everything) that you don't know. And you and anyone else is free to take my opinions or leave them. I feel they're pretty on target most of the time. Some things, like this Tarzan Rocks show you are so enamored with, are ultimately just a matter of individual taste. "This is a fun, entertaining show. And it's been a very popular show. I love good singing, a fun band and I'm OK with roller blading stunts too. I just don't like the show. I feel like its typical theme park drivel. And I happen to own and enjoy listening to the movie soundtrack, so you shouldn't assume things. I like a show that actually aspires to be more than somewhere that the stroller brigade can sit in the shade. A show with creativity, production values and real talent. The Legend of the Lion King has it. Aladdin at DCA does. The old Hunchback show at MGM had it. Tarzan Rocks doesn't.
Originally Posted By LuvDatDisney "Luv he has a point, you do seem to always mention the stuff you don't like, but in your defense and to prove us wrong what are some things you DO like?" That's simply untrue. I do admit that I don't gush over all things Disney like many folks here. I give credit where I feel it's due and I don't feel the need to defend myself because some people don't notice or don't give a darn that WDW quality isn't nearly what it once was. But since you asked and since I'm up ... here are some things I LUV about WDW: The sounds of the WDW RR trains as they make their journey around the MK; The sight of Cindy's Castle rising majestically from across the Seven Seas Lagoon; THe hope and promise and inherent optimism of the CoP; Any and all of the MK E-Tickets when they are maintained and have all their effects working (right now that would be Small World and Big Thunder Mtn. RR); Lunch at the LTT; Walking around the World Showcase Lagoon at sunset with all the music and sounds of people having fun; The amazing simplicity and beauty of SSE (if I ignore the wand on it); Living With the Land ... a taste of what the old EPCOT Center stood for. Launch on Mission Space; ROE: simply an amazing pyrotechic and musical show that tells a story and does so without any Disney characters; Watching the fishies swim at the Living Seas and watching the kiddies laugh with glee at Turtle Talk; The American Adventure -- the most amazing theme park show ever created anywhere. Impressions de France ... an incredible musical journey. Dinner at Epcot ... anywhere fast food isn't involved. Dinner at the California Grill ... one of the best restaurants anywhere. Taking a monorail ride; Walking thru FW and forgetting I'm even at WDW because it's so tranquill and green; A lunch with my buddies at Trail's End at FW; Anything in DAK (except Kali RR) ... the most unique theme park anywhere; Checking in to the Hollywood Tower Hotel; Shopping at either Epcot or DAK; Taking a boat out for a spin on a spring day on Bay Lake; Walking into the lobby of the WL and AKL; Having dinner at Jiko or Boma; Listening to the old ABC TV show themes outside the Commisary; Having a drink at any of the bars at both PO resorts; A steak at Shula's; The incredible new hotel rooms at the Contemporary and Poly resorts; The beds at the Swan and Dolphin; Seeing the animals from a balcony at the AKL; Staring up at the piece of art that is the Tree of Life; Noticing a Disney Detail that I never saw before; Helping a newbie with some advice that can help make their visit a bit more magical; Peoplewatching from the WedWay PeopleMover (that's what it'll always be to me); Watching Wishes from the Poly beach; Taking a bike ride or a hayride around FW; Seeing La Nouba; Walking into any shop that doesn't sell plush, pins or princess costumes; Spending time in the MK during MNSSHP or Epcot during the Flower and Garden Fest in spring and Food and Wine Fest in fall; The musical soundtrack at Pop Century; Soarin over California; Just walking around DAK with no plan in no hurry; Breakfast at Boatwright's; Taking a boatride to the MK as the fireworks begin; Looking for treasures at Sid's One of a Kind store at MGM; etc ... etc ... etc ... I could go on for a very long time. Hopefully, EVerest will be on the list before the week is out too! You see I LUV WDW. But I don't LUV everything and I have major issues with the way it is currently being (mis)run. If you can't see that someone can take great pleasure in a place, but still find fault, well, I can't help you any. But I intend to go on loving WDW, praising it where it deserves praise and ripping it where it deserves criticism. These boards are actively trolled by all sorts of Disney CMs from CP kids to publicists to execs. That's a fact. That's why these boards are so important beyond being a fun forum for the Disney community to talk. Now I'm tired!

For the record - Tarzan is ok, but I was disappointed after seeing the amazing version at DLP. Same problem with the Lion King, after seeing the stage show 6 weeks before our visit to WDW, I was dissapointed. WDW is amazing, but their stage shows are weak compared to all the other Disney resorts IMHO.
