I am tempted by TDS as it is unique to Tokyo, but being a former cast member at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida I also am tempted back to magic of the Disneyland Park.

    Which should I choose?

As you said, you already been to all the other MK parks already and while I definitely understand the urge to see another MK version, fact is you seen 4 out of 5 of them already and with the exception of Pooh and some of the shows, you basically seen it all anyway.

TDS is a brand spanking new park! There is simply nothing like it in the Disney realm. With the exception of 3 attractions, everything else is completely new and the place is just BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Believe me, without a doubt, see this park!! If you ever have a chance to go to Japan again (and I imagine you will) go to TDL next time, but since you definitely have the chance now, TDS!!

However, I agree that is park hopping is not an option (and they make it hard to be over there) then TDSea is the park to visit if you are interested in having a more adult but nonetheless enjoyable experience. TDS is also the park to see in the daytime due to it's over the top theming.

How about both parks and no I have not lost my sanity..... yet anyway.

Get to Dl early and ready yourself for "open gate" madness and move efficiently and strategically throughout the park to ride the unique Pooh and Splash Mnt.(yes, it is unique because it is far, far more stellar than the earlier dank, dark renditions of the US)---- trust me this is how Splash Mountain should be created! Tokyo has a rather nicely done version of Big Thunder also.

    ***Here's the key:
Since E tickets like HM, Roger Rabbit, Buzz, Microadventure(HISTA)and Star Tours are carbon copies of other parks leave them alone---don't waste valuable time when you can do those (presumably) at will back home.

In the interest of time don't bother with Space Mnt., Pirates or Jungle Cruise either because Dl Anaheim has the much better upgraded versions anyway. Also, don't be tempted by Small World since you have alreay seen by far the grandest and most spectacular one at Paris.****

Walk though the Disney Gallery, see Mickey Mouse Revue, check out one or two stage shows(Dl has 5 or more) and the Moving on parade depending on time.

Don't get stuck there; have a plan and do it; I know it will be hard to cut out early since Dl is a very fine and worthy park but you must as every minute there is, obviously, one less minute at Disney Sea.

Allot 70 or 75% of the day to Disney Sea.

If you are alone and industrious you can see and do so much in one day.

Ok I know.....too much money for park tickets because you would have to buy 2 since there is no one day hopper and too much frustration park hopping when you have not see either so just go to Disney Sea and forget everything I wrote. Only I would be this crazy to pull it off.

DISNEY SEA HANDS DOWN since you are going to one park only.

FAN, it's good that you brought that up(as well as the potential for After 6 and Starlight purchase) as that is arguably the most defining and unique facet to Tokyo Dl--- a controversial feature in the Magic Kindom/Disneyland style parks which I actually welcome.

Oh, and count me in as someone who likes World Bazaar as well. I don't get all the hate for it, as I think the whole area is pretty well done (except the bare entrance area).

But if you don't go to BOTH parks, won't you still be incomplete?

If you really want to say you have been to all parks, find a way to do both. An after six pass might be the best way to accomplish this.

If going to both really isn't possible, my vote is for TDS. It truly is a unique experience.

I agree about the bare entrance and it's even worst now a days... but you will have to check out my pics on that other site you frequent. As for World Bazaar... the only reason why some people hate it (including Kevin Yee) is because they can not get pass their "purist" views of what they expect from a Disneyland park. Anyone who has been to TDL would know.. they break the mold in everyway they can, sometimes for good and sometimes for the worst. Many feel World Bazaar was designed for the worst. That may be the case, but I also must say that I do not prefer it over the other "regular" Main Street atmospheres and can appreciate it for it's unique design. Furthermore... look at what was done to Universal Japan's Hollywood area, where a ceiling also covers that park's main entryway and now a steel coaster destroyed some of the art deco facades... so let's be greatful for TDL's World Bazaar more grounded and better themed atomospheres.

Regarding World Bazaar, I think it accomplishes what it was designed as; a Victorian era shopping center. I find it elegant and pretty, though it lacks the charm of the Main Streets.

Maybe they are having a case of "tunnel" vision?

They also mentioned that they forwarded copies of my letter to the appropriate departments, but I have no idea if this is the case. Even if so, I doubt it would get some serious attention. But I could be wrong, I suppose.
