Every scene will be new, they will include physical and screen based scenes, and you will "design" your car in the queue.

    Very exciting!

What's the new story of the ride? Is it still testing cars?

I'm guessing the ride will be in a "computer" like TRON.

It's been closed over a week now, due to reopen late September/early October I believe.

I guess we can wait and see what they do in terms of the changes to the ride.

The backgrounds should have been filled in much better to avoid the "empty warehouse" feeling and some attempt at "scenery" other than wooden flats would have been nice. I liked the original queue... in fact thought it was one of Epcot's best. It could have used some updating and introduction of new exhibits, but I thought the basic concept was just fine.

I hope the new queue will be something more than a glorified video game and retain some attempt at "infotainment". That seems to be disappearing from Future World and I miss it. I hope the ride itself will be something more than Disney "synergy" to promote the next release of Tron... a franchise that I don't think has very wide appeal anyway (despite the devotion of it's fans).

    We'll see...

As for the sponsor... how many WDW visitors are in the market for Porsche etc? I prefer looking at automobiles I might actually be able to purchase.

This is the Future World area of Epcot at WDW, GM needs to show some excitement and enthusiasm! Not the same old drab cars and SUVs that can be found in any dealership in anywhere USA.

Honestly, the entire field of electric and fuel cell transportation options has dramatically advanced in just the past few years. There are some fun and exciting things going on in various parts of the country by government and commercial entites. Test Track would be an ideal place to display just what advancements are being made on the east coast as well as the west coast. And I would show it all in some form or another ( movies, models )from biodiesel locomotives, electric trains, cars, trucks anything and everything GM has I would be hand picking exactly what goes into that space.

Also, as a tie in I would replace all of the diesel buses in the WDW transportation fleet with fuel cell buses. Simply negotiate with WDW that you will replace the bus fleet in lue of giving the cash for Test Track.
