They were one of the stronger teams, so it's a bummer to see them go so early.

I also realized this week just how annoying the twins are. They seem to scream everything, and their voices just get really irritating after a while. During the interview segments, they always seem to brag about some past expertise in anything related to the challenge, but end up be relatively average at it. It's not bad to be average at an obscure talent, but bragging about it every time just makes you look foolish. Unfortunately, they seem to be doing well, but I hope they don't last too long

So that's still annoying, but I just liked them better as people this week for some reason. I still don't have a favorite team, though.

    Yeah, whatever. Bye bye.

I'm liking both the monster truckers and (amazingly) the Chippendales better than I thought I would.

Still, it's nice to get to see some footage of an area that I would otherwise completely avoid!

I also like that the other teams are starting to get annoyed with the twins. I was thinking it was just me...

I don't have any team I really like this time. The rockers, strangely, are about as close as it comes.

I was really excited about this week's episode, since I visited Istanbul last spring and saw many of the locations that they visited. It was interesting to have a decent knowledge of the city's layout, and how the challenges were arranged; for example, they took the ferry to the Asia side, only to take a cab back to the Spice Bazaar, which is right across the street from where the ferry left on the European side. And I can't imagine chosing the delivery task over going to the Turkish bath! Given the choice of a spa treatment or hard work, I'll take the pampering any day!

It's certainly a great city, and I think that came through in the challenges. I suspect they will leave very early in the next episode (since they just spent 2 episodes in Bangladesh), but I'd love to see them stick around longer.

If you looked carefully during the last couple episodes, almost all of the "taxis" (including the one that drove away) were just random cars driven by random people (which is why the Texans got driven to the wrong place). I never recommend leaving your passport somewhere, but definitely don't leave it in some random person's car.

Knowing a little bit about how foreigners are treated in Russia, I'm surprised that they didn't make a beeline for the embassay as soon as they knew that happened. In addition to needing a visa with very specific travel information on it, you also need to "check in" with the government when you arrive in the country; if you have any run-ins with the police (like asking for directions to a tourist attraction), they'll ask you for your papers. I don't really want to think about what happens if you don't have them.

At this point, I think I'm cheering for the divorcees, but they're pretty far behind. In the preview of next week, it looks like they miss another connection, so they'll probably be the next to go.

And from the preview, it looks like they'll be spending some more time in Europe (Denmark or France maybe, based on the architecture?), which also seems a bit different. Traditionally, the last leg has been in the US, but the preview didn't show anything that appeared to be in the US. Perhaps, since the said it will be 2 hours, the first half will be in Europe and have an elimination, then the final 3 will progress to the US for the last round

I was disappointed that the twins squeaked through this week in the non-elimination leg. I guess we'll have to deal with them all season long after all (sigh).

At this point, I'm rooting for the underdog goat farmers.

I think they did it that way last year as well, with a 2-hour finale.

Except for the twins (just when I start to kinda like them, I remember what they did to the rockers), I'm okay with all the remaining teams. The goat farmers seem to have 9 lives and I don't know how in the world they'd end up actually winning a leg, but it would be kinda cool if they did. The straight couple are fine with me, but I'm sorta pulling for the Chippendales if anyone, which I would never have predicted when the season started.

I think the first time, the stuffed man didn't shoot up into the air. They didn't hit the target right and he just sort of fell off his perch.
