In the castle setting, it seems like a monument or shrine to Mickey and Walt. Here, it is just another piece of scenery setting the tone for the time of the area. While it looked horribly out of place with the original design, it looks absolutely spectacular with the new layout. Also, the old design of the park was bland, and the light towers were just about the only moderately interesting things to look at. At least from the pictures, this new area seems to be so well done that the lighting towers look out of place, not because they are so much more interesting than everything around them, but because they look so tacky in comparison to the new stuff. It looks like there is at least one new light tower that fits in with the new street, and I can only hope that the others will soon be replaced in a similar manner. While some may complain that they are just facades and should house some real attractions (or shops or restuarants), they seem to help make the transition to the tour. In front of the Tower, they are very 3D and realistic. As we move further back, they start getting more and more angled and more painted flats, until we get to the mountain backdrop that only has the 3D tunnel entrance. This then leads to the backside of all these facades, and an attraction that is designed to showcase how they are used in movies. Excellent transition from the Tower to the Tour, IMO.

Looking at "Partners" with the new facades and TOT behind it... it does feel like "Partners" do belong there. I for one am quite happy to see some E-ticket quality becoming a part of WDSP and great theming as well. Still some work to be done.. but I hope great things are yet to come. WDSP needs that.
