Everyone knows that people ahve been talking about a villians theme thrill park for years. Disneys version of IOA but so much better. There are so many projects going on all across property. If a fifth gate was in the early stages, would anyone know about it? I don't think Disney would say anything to early on. There track record is about every 10 years or so. Its been 10 since AK. I go to the parks very frequently and they are always busy no matter what the season. Mickey definitely has the reason to make another park.

They reached a saturation point years ago, and are very aware of this. People don't have infinite vacations (unless they're Europeans or Canadians or Asians etc ...) and canibalization has already entered the equation.

Like stopping second rate dvd animated sequels, turning the disney stores back to real stores and not bargain basements. The work in the parks have been great as well. both in the U.S. and abroad. I would be stunned if they didn't make some type of announcement in the next few years.

Sure, the details weren't all known -- they still aren't as things are changing now! You seem new around here, so I don't want you to take this personally or anything. And Iger and senior company officials have said both in the media and behind closed doors that they will not be building another park at WDW. And I, for one, think that's a GREAT thing!

On top of that, where would the company get the additional staff to run the park? It's hard enough keeping however many people WDW already employs without adding another gate.

Now, do they have land for a fifth gate? Sure. Probably a sixth and seventh if they wanted to depending on size and infrastructure. But, right now, the only thing Disney seems intent on building in Central Florida is DVC timeshares ... one might wonder about the intelligence of that considering the amount of home foreclosures (Central Florida is one of the nation's tops in this dept), but apparently, they feel if Americans can't afford to buy/keep them that Europeans will more than ably fill in. We'll see.

They are judged based on the creativity of the design and quality of presentations. All entries become Disney's property if they want to use them, but to my knowledge, they never have (and this has been going on for many years now). While it would be neat to see a lot of these things, many of them are so elaborate that they would just cost too much to build or don't have an area where they would fit within the existing infrastructure in any of the parks.

In short, I think we will see a WDW in the future that only say the top 20% of people can afford to visit. Who knows? But I'd love love love love love to see a 5th park. And as for WDW being packed all the time, it really isn't. Maybe the parks are, but the hotels and water parks aren't always packed to the gills but yet they have to still be manned and operated. Not only that, I won't believe that WDW will build another park until that Pirate and Parrott taco place re-opens across from POTC. Hey it's silly, but think about it.

Also, if you love disney enough to come here once a year, you are not the person who gets tired of HM, POTC, SSE, ITTBAB, TOT, or Star Tours. However, after a while of coming down here and planning your seven days around four theme parks and the best way to tackle them becomes stale. I think disney recognizes this. They continue to open properties all over the world including parks and resorts and I even heard of a resort being planned in the middle east. If they are up for the challenge of doing all of that, I don't see why they wouldn't make a fifth gate. Also, how deep was disney into the process of Animal Kingdom before we found out? granted the internet wasn't as helpful as it is today but I think Disney accounts for that.
