Originally Posted By liveforvacations I have read that you can request waterside seating when you make your Priority Seating arrangements. However, I spoke to three different CMs at Disney Dining on three different occasions and they all told me that the request must be done when you show up for you PS and to show up 15 minutes before your time and be prepared to wait if you really want waterside seating.

I may have to just break down and try the mushroom but those mushrooms can be quite chewy and I like the potatoes! Oh well, it is the ambience I am going for, not the food and I will only have more room for dessert!

I don't know if you are into mac and cheese but it looks like that (or the PB and jelly monte cristo would be a possibility for you. Just a thought. Then again, a salad and a dessert sounds yummy!

Of course this doesn't work out if you want to eat there for dinner. On my birthday trip I didn't make our reservation soon enough and got the 2nd seating, we requested waterside and they said there might be a wait. We told them just to seat us anywhere. They called us minutes later and got a waterside table. I don't know if it had anything to do with my birthday button, but I did get a free dessert due to the button. BTW I find tornadoes petrifying and earthquakes easier to deal with...lol...but I've lived in CA most my life - guess it's what you're used too

We have a whole family that can relate. Especially my daughter. She is very orally defensive. Good to see that there are others in the world.

However, then I have had them make me a special "vegetarian" dish which is really thoughtful. However, I don't really eat a lot of tofu and that texturized protein is just awful. Now they have gone to all the trouble of making me a "special dish" and I don't like it! So after explaining the whole don't eat meat, fish thing, I just suggest that they make what they usually make and I will just eat the potatoes, vegetables, salad etc. They usually seem to feel good about this and all goes well until.... I take some gravy. Now I have to explain myself even more! So, it is just easier not to go to dinner at other people's houses! I also don't eat fish or seafood and that also seems to confuse people as they say, "But you like crab?" "No" "Salmon?" "No" "How about prawns" I now tell people that I do not eat anything that swims in the sea or walks on the beach! I have to ask what your family thinks about the whole line of vegetarian food that is to resemble meat? Texturized protein? Veggie burgers that are simulated beef or chicken? Veggie salami?
