I had the opportunity to visit TDR last weekend, and saw it for what were my final three times. Even a week before it ends, there was a noticeable buzz about it in the park. People were staking claim to prime viewing spots hours before the performance, far more than I've ever seen in the past. Lido Isle filled up 1 hour 15 minutes prior to the show. Front-row spots were claimed four hours in advance. Some guests were already crying.

The weather doesn't look so good for this weekend, with rain currently forecast for both Saturday and Sunday. I was fortunate to see it in the regular mode twice, and once in the alternate "rain mode" version, which has about 2/3 less performers and isn't nearly as good. Conditions change rapidly, and I hope for the best for the final performances. With many of the recent and upcoming entertainment changes at TDS, it's the end of an era for that park. But the loss of Mythica is definitely the biggest hit.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate so that they're able to have the final performances at 100%

It's such a huge loss. I would not have minded seeing a brand new production come to the park. Not having a replacement show is what bugs me most. I can only hope this won't be the case for the long haul. In the mean time I am looking forward to the new "new York Halloween follies" show and new productions coming to mermaid lagoon and hangar stage. We can only hope they will live up to expected quality.

Virtually every hotel room on property was taken for guests to get their 15 minute early entry. They nabbed just about all of the premium spots in front of the Harbor and Lido Isle. The fortress was full little after 8am when I walked around.

I've never seen such an outpouring of emotion in my life. Guests were visibly moved by the final performance. Many guests had made Mythica costumes for their plush for the occasion. It was just a crescendo of applauding for the bows as the character barges made their exits. Mickey kept jumping up from his position to wave goodbye until the Key rounded into the dock backstage. Even the tech crew that were stationed on Mysterious Island were applauded as they exited. It was also very emotional backstage.

I was completely drained by the end. Mythica meant so much to be personally and the decision by OLC to retire it hit me a lot harder than I anticipated.

The construction of the premium viewing area outside Portofino started on Monday and will continue until February.

Follies is one of the better shows at Waterfront Park. The storyline is a little more convoluted than I like but it has some great choreography. It also manages to fill the space a lot better than most of the previous shows. The Lido Isle show is also the best I can remember there - a lot of fun. The Skeleton Friends have developed some fun personalities and it is just a cute show.

TDL's new Halloween Harvest parade is also excellent and has one of the catchiest tunes I can remember. The show mode isn't quite so appealing but it has a lot of positives. I was worried that the Halloween Fair theme wasn't ideal for the park but it has been executed very well.

How time flies... Anyways, your assessment of the new Halloween offerings are encouraging. I can't wait to catch the new stuff in the coming weeks.

Don't be! Although you will probably encounter some language barriers (especially outside TDR) everybody is incredibly helpful and friendly, and will do everything they can to make sure you can communicate with them. Japan is a great place to see some crazy local customs without needing to venture very far from your comfort zone (other than the physical distance, of course)!

Be prepared for long lines for the TDS Halloween entertainment. You may have to queue for half a day just to get in to see Halloween Follies. It is a similar story for the Lido Isle show. These are very popular indeed so be prepared for lots of sitting in place for hours. Thankfully TDL is just a parade this year and so you will have plenty of opportunity to see it twice a day. It has three stops for the show mode.

Don't forget to try the lottery for UOAT. The venue is in Tomorrowland and the kiosks have English options. You will have to wait almost all day otherwise to get a good view from the hub.

Definitely try for the lottery (as well as the one for One Man's Dream), but you can still get a pretty decent view without it. We showed up about 20-30 minutes before the second show and got a perfectly centered view that was just a few row of people behind the center of the hub. Everybody was standing, but since Japanese people are fairly short I was able to see the entire show without any obstructions

The parks weren't especially busy when we were there (30-40min waits for the main E-Tickets), so you may have a tougher time if it's more crowded. If you don't get a seat, I would recommend going to the later show, since people won't be camped out for as long before

I'd recommend the second OUAT and trying to push up from the hub in front of Partners. If it is raining then watch from World Bazaar.

Since that area isn't used for the stage shows or parades (or other large scale entertainment with a massive sound system) it seems like it might not be outfitted properly
