Dan in Real Life was a fun film, but there Hedges' famous 'quirky' quality seemed lacking, that was clearly obvious in Pieces of April and Gilbert Grape. I suspect the negative reviews on RT are reflecting this aspect of his work regarding Timothy Green. I definitely want to see it, but I'm also preparing myself to not expect a typical Hedges offering.

Originally Posted By Autopia Deb I haven't seen it but I did see part of a YouTube clip with two VERY upset boys crying their little eyes out over the ending. So I'm guessing this isn't a good one for the kiddies without a parental preview at least.
