Trader Joes candy cane "jo jo's" have entered the building! I've spent almost an entire year NOT buying this stuff and now it's like my house just turned into one big lump of full fat butter. I'm being pretty good about eating my proteins, veggies and such. I've actually done the Wii each day and walked the dog up hills. My plan is to send ALL the leftovers home with who ever is willing to take them. Looking at this stuff I'd better buy some tums How is everyone else doing?

Still, I am proud of both myself and Rod. We have been getting up in the mornings and having a veggie omelet. Then, if lunch time comes around and nobody has a plan; I make a huge salad for us. And we have been walking and hiking and he is playing WiiResort as I type. I am sure I am up a couple of pounds and when you have only lost 10 that is a lot. But we are watching it and I am sure it will be off in no time. I hate New Years resolutions but I think the end of the Holiday Season will mark new resolve for both of us. Let's hear from everybody. Good and bad. Compared to past years this one is wonderful. I never ate until I was stuffed. In fact, when I talked to my Sister that evening, I could tell by the tone in her voice when she said, "I cannot possibly eat any more. I feel stuffed." I knew how she felt and was so glad I did not.

I did get to eat a lot of tasty foods and am fine with working it off. I know it will be gone in a couple of weeks so...no worries. (Not that I don't have a crapload of worries right now. My weight just isn't one of them.) LOL

So I guess so far I've maintained pretty well this month. I started eating Christmas Eve at around 5 and I don't think I stopped until DH and I just wanted canned soup for dinner last night. I was pretty busy so maybe I wasn't snacking between meals. We did continue with most of our exercising but to lose over Christmas is unheard of for me. I don't even know what to think about it. We have a baby shower/kids home for the weekend and a trip to Reno planned in January so I'll have lots of temptations coming at me. I'd better amp up the exercise and fill up the fridge with veggies.

Hi Parsec and welcome! DH and I fully understand what you are saying. We are yo yo dieters but I think we've finally broken the string this past year. Hi cheezman20 You can do it!! Pixie, that is GREAT!!! iamsally, yep, this thread has helped a lot hasn't it? A comfortable place to rejoice and sometimes confess mele, hows it going today? You crack me up!
