In 2oony's day they didn't have clickers. He had to get up and walk to the TV to turn down the sound. Uphill. In the snow. Both ways.

Who does all of that complaining? Senior citizens.

Senior citizens are, without question, the most responsible block of voters across the nation. They vote, work at the polls, help on campaigns and donate to political parties.

Seniors vote. Seniors don't like noisy tv. Congress listens to the voters and wants to make them happy. End game.

Sorry to turn a light topic serious but when people (particularly our younger generations) complain about an unresponsive government then I think it is a teachable moment to clue them in as to why the system works the way it does.

Consumerist.com had a survey recently on the most annoying TV commercials. Of the 30 or so nominees in several categories I hadn't seen a single one, and I watch commercial TV at least 5 days a week.

The only thing I've noticed is that I seem to be hitting the 30-second skip button a little more frequently this season than last.
