Those marketing CMs sure earn their money, don't they?) But would it hurt them to add a 35th anniversary tag to it?? Something like... "In honor of WDW's 35th...we are offering these little perks..." But nowhere in the forementioned article is there a statement from WDW management about the little milestone coming this Oct 1st. However, I am glad they have been able to come up with yet another excuse to continue the momentum brought on by DL's 50th.

I have to say that the general park attedning population is not going to get much offered to them during the celebration. Im aslo saying to myseld that what is this celebration going to offer me.

Walt Disney World officials say they haven't worked out many details about the part of their big, new, yearlong promotion that is piquing imaginations: a chance to spend the night in the royal chamber at Cinderella Castle. "Oh my gosh," said Brandee Foxworthy of Longwood, whose daughter, Ella, was named for the fairy-tale princess. "My first thought was, in what way could we increase our chances?" That's yet to be answered, along with: How will winners be picked? What will the suite be like? What will visitors do after the park closes? Craig Dezern, a marketing vice president, said those details still are being worked out. Even the apartment is only a shell right now, with planners discussing how to turn it into a royal chamber. For that reason, it won't be ready for occupancy until January, even though Disney's "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion begins Oct. 1. The single-floor apartment is about 10 stories up, where the main structure of the castle ends and the spires climb on their own.<<

Not as cool as waking up in Hong Kong one morning, Tokyo a couple days later, followed by Paris, Orlando, and Anaheim! I sooooooooo want to win the trip 'round the world to be grand marshal in a parade at every resort!

While I have never seen it, reportedly it's nothing more than an empty and unfinished room, and for many years it was used as a storage space and as a telephone operator's room.
