Sad to say, people don't necessarily expect the same out of liberals, so when liberal controversy does happen, no one is shocked. The story might get reported, but then it will disappear or be minimized pretty quickly by most of the media. This doesn't really say much about either party. One one side you have a party who claims to have this platform of morality, but then you see some of its members fall off that platform. On the other side you have a group of politicians who Americans really don't expect much from in the first place, so when situations happen it's a non-story.
