I seem to recall an estimated figure of about 1,400 "extra-judicial" deaths by Saddam's security forces per year in order to maintain a sufficient amount of domestic terror to remain in power. There's no reason to believe that number to be terribly inaccurate, nor that it would have skyrocketed all of a sudden. As such, the 100,000 deaths caused by the "coalition" action is of tremendous scale.
