Pluto is the most iconic of these, but Dug, Marie, and Eeyore are also guilty of it (among others). Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to just not have those characters in the park, particularly for the less appreciated ones like Dug and Marie

I couldn't help but thinking that all those people that are so bent on the "high quality" image of Walt and his Disneyland, might be just a tad along the lines of fantasy as well. If anyone can convince me that everything was so much better, more detailed and perfect back then, I'll eat my computer.

ORDDU: There are many Disney fans out there who are character specific and who know the characters better than the theme parks. These are died in the wool Disney fans who know every character in the Disney family. There is even a special web footed site called Disney Character Central where you can find pictures of every character who has ever appeared at a Disney theme park. It's quite fascinating and interesting. ORGOCH: Got time fer a fam'ly reunion?

Since those are the original costumes that were rented from the Ice Capades, I can only assume that they were designed to be seen from a much greater distance and were intended for use during a somewhat athletic performance that would require additional visibility and breathability On a related note, I think that pretty much everything intended for kids from eras past is pretty terrifying. There was a museum near me growing up that had a room full of Victorian toys, especially dolls. Since the museum wasn't especially heavily visited and the room was in a back corner that was easy to overlook, the room's lights were activated by motion sensors. There's nothing worse than walking into a dark room that's suddenly populated by hundreds of Victorian dolls!
