You should remember that after the Norway movie in Epcot, there's probably not a Disney attraction that has more people walking out of than the Tiki Room. "The other four were popular songs that the audience in 1963 would've known. Most definitely including 'Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing'." I would've bet money that that song was original with Disney. Live and learn. I like the linked version a thousand times better. The Disney version is so cloying.

Hmm. Visions of a certain scene in "High Anxiety" (the one spoofing "The Birds") come to mind.

Betty Boop sang it in 1933 in Betty Boop's Halloween Party (at 3:18): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...h7nft7zo You can probably blame Wally Boag for its inclusion in the Enchanted Tiki Room. It's exactly the kind of go-to song that he would have known from his year's in vaudeville and performing in England. How could you do a show about birds without it? >>...there's probably not a Disney attraction that has more people walking out of than the Tiki Room.<< I've heard this one before. And as many times as I have been to the Tiki Room (and that's a lot!), I have NEVER seen anyone walk out since they tightened up the show and removed the Barcarolle. Never.

More often than not I think.

Done sweetly .... adds a feeling of warmth .... as Pierre, Fritz, and José do so well in their respective parts.
