It is a win/win situation; you can reserve a cruise without a large deposit or if something comes up and you decide not to cruise with them within four years you are not out of your money.

We always book on board for our next cruise to receive the 10% discount and $200 on board credit (obc). You will have to put a $250 deposit for each person. If you don't know your cruise date for future cruises or the date you need isn't out yet, you can book a dummy date (that's what we did.), and change it once you know the date for no penalty. If you cancel before the pay in full date you will get 100% refund, after the due date you won't get the full amt. The percent goes down as the disembark date draws near. We usually book on board for the next cruise to get the discount and obc. then change the ressie over to AAA or Costco. After booking on board in 2004, we got an added $150 obc when we changed our ressie to AAA. That was $350 obc! Yay! In 2008 we are taking my brother's family, we booked on board in Sept. with a dummy date because we didn't know their spring break dates, then transferred the ressie to Costco when the dates we needed opened up. We are getting a $425 and $325 gift cards when we get back from the cruise. Christmas money! This is for a 7 day, your obc for 3-4 day is less, same deposit though. We always makes sure we purchase the travel insurance for the cruises. Costco's insurance is cheaper than DCL too. We've never had a problem yet. Make your ressie this cruise is so much fun! We may try a princess cruise next just to see how they compare. Disney is a tough act to follow in my book.
