I will be bringing books, toys, snacks and bottle to help with his ears. I have flown with my kids when they were babies but it was only a 2 1/2 hour flight.
I'm hoping he will sleep some of the time.
I think he will love DW. He loves being outside. I think he will like the charactors too. Any tips for DW are welcome too.

The charactors may scare him at first, to them they are a lot bigger dthen what they think they should be. I had to go with my kids at first (for pictures) then they would warm up to them later.

We got all new toys & books to help make them entertain longer. We picked books with surprises like doors that open with pictures behind. The toys we got are compact but do something like have wheels or I found a snake that's body is jointed & rattles.

If he enjoys tv take a small dvd player with his favorite shows & headphones. One of my grands will leave them on the other won't. Or if you have a smart phone download a couple of things.

Of course we'll take a few familiar things but as luck has it they don't have any 'must have' items.

TS Island is always a great place to let little ones run & or rest in the middle of the day. It has lots of shade & places to explore. I'm sure you know already but our resort has a nice play area. We plan on taking @ least the younger boy back to the resort each day to play/nap maybe swim if the weather's ok.

Just a few thoughts. We should think about saying hi @ the resort.

The sticker idea is great and somebody once posted about putting stickers on the window of the airplane for fun. I would have to take windex wipes if I did that. But this father never mentioned anything about the cleaning up part just how amazed he was that it kept the child happy. Maybe some apples in the bag pre-sliced to chew on to help with the ear problem (?). And fresh orange slices that you peel onboard tortures everybody cause it smells so irresistible! Don't forget the wipes for all.

I can't wait to see his reaction to all the lights at night at the parks.
My friend at work told me her sister's baby who was 18 months got them kicked off the plane because her son was having a fit. I find that hard to believe. I really hope that's not true.

Also my tips are this. 1. Tucker the child out first thing. Example: if you are leaving at 10 wake up a little earlier so that you can play at a park for about an hour so they get some exercise. Run around the airport while waiting for the plane, and just take it one moment at a time. Def bring snacks, a lot of times, if they start fussing, and you just give them something to chew on they will quiet down. Hopefully you will get good people on your plane also.

We will be at the airport at 6:30am, so he should be ready for his morning nap around 9 or 10. He is a good baby most of the time. He does get fussy when he's tired. He is very active so we will have to keep him entertained.

So keep that in mind when packing things to take and just let security know up front anything you think they may have a problem with.
