Took a look at this photo courtesy of Google Earth.......... http://albums.photo.epson.com/ j/ViewPhoto?u=4208477&a=32103298&p=74343735 The way the Skyway station was situated always puzzled me. Blocking the way for attractions that could be built just outside the rail road tracks .. just as Space Mountain is. Now I know how careful the water table works surrounding the "magic kingdom" park, and all the delicate streams that play a unique role. BUT water streams are slightly redirected all the time. It's not an impossible feet .. it just takes an effort. In this next photo .. is the same overhead view of Tomorrowland .. except this time .. I outline in red not one not two but FOUR easy no-brainer locations for new additions. Blank areas that have had me puzzled since the last time anything new was added to Tomorrowland since it's Phase 2 completion in 1975. Now .. of course ... attention has been diverted to new parks, instead of adding new attractions to the "magic kingdom" park .. but COME ON.... THIRTY FIVE years later ........ and the latest news is **They have to** demolish Carousel of Progress to construct some "Incredibles" attraction???????? Please! Give me strength. You mean to tell me .. that with ALL THAT LAND .. that I demonstrate ... that they CAN'T build up Tomorrowland's roster? I think some people in management in Burbank and Orlando are looking for excuses rid themselves of Carousel of Progress in the same fashion they ridded themselves of the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea attraction .. once and for all. But .. forget about Carousel of Progress. That's not really the issue here.... But I'm really surprised since 1975 ... some of these obvious areas for future growth have become forgotten .. AS IF they can't build outside the railroad track. It's really puzzling. Well ...... bottom line with my discussion ..... there are obvious plots of land RIGHT THERE for new thrills. Skyway's old terminal is an obvious piece for demolishen. One that can open up the other side of the track for new attractions. And I feel the "mk" park is in need of a few ADDITIONS. The areas I outline are huge spaces .. the size of Space Mountain, or Carousel of Progress ... large enough for most "E Ticket" ideas. In another topic .. there's the issue of what to do with the space constraints of the circle-vision complex. As TDLFAN pointed out .. there's a way. And since when is that tacky theater next to CoP sacred? The way I see it .. there's PLENTY of new space for new things ... and I'd like to see Carousel of Progress truly brought into the 21st century with new "PIZAZZ" that will even get the worlds biggest cynics to go 'WOW'. With the way I see it on that overhead map ... I see all kinds of possibilities for Tomorrowland's future .. with an expanded Peoplemover .. and some overhead walkpaths caring people over the "autopia" ride .. into more TOMORROWLAND fun just north of Space Mountain. So much room .... the rumors of **needed** demolishen to CoP make laugh.

The CoP rumors have been around since 1999. I remember being told that the entire backside roof was rotted out. I remember being told there were no parts available for the turntable. I understand the lure of the space from Skyway all the way around to Galaxy Theater (with CoP in middle). I just think there are bigger issues, which are located in heavier trafficked areas. I would not be surprised if they want to build up that corner of the park though. Finally, I too am a little disappointed that we are going to have two character shows next to each other in TL.

Indy Speedway has absolutetly no thematic ties to the 1994 themes created at the entrance to the land. Add the "hole" that was once 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ... plus .. the "old" Fantasyland look that DL rid itself of in 1983 ... and I see a massive east to north section of the "mk" park in need of some serious remodeling.
