I will theme it after one of my favorite rides, The Tower of Terror. I bought the skeleton key and mug from the little Tower shop. I saw the robe and bath towel, but it is only a half bath so I decided not to get those. Any ideas? I took some pics of the building that I will frame and hang up, but I don't know what else to do. I want it to be more of the hotel aspect, the way it would have looked before that fateful night in 1939. Any suggestions?

You might be able to do something fun with old dried flowers, like they have in the lobby. It would add to the old creepy hotel look, but still make it feel a little homey too.

Are you thinking of doing it as the Hollywood Tower Hotel before or after the incident? Depending on which way you want it to go, there are a ton of opportunities.

Maybe put up and old chandelier and an ornate mirror and use ornate frames for the pictures you put up. If you are redoing the tile maybe use darker marble (or marble look alike). My Dad had an old Victorian house and he found a toilet that was modern but was made too look old with the tank up high and a pull chain for the flush. You could also get either a pedestal sink or a vanity that looks like an old piece of furniture with a marble countertop.

I don't know how elaborate you are planning on getting with your bathroom but hope that helps...have fun! I love redecorating!

If you've got some artsy-craftsy skills, you could add geeky little touches, too. Make a little book of matches in the 1930s style for the Tip Top Club "featuring Anthony Fremont and His Orchestra". (go to www.myfonts.com and enter "1930s" in the search bar. Lots of good choices will come up.)

If you already have individual lights, then its just a matter of the right cover.

I think it would be hard to engineer things so the toilet randomly plummets several feet.

Finding pictures on the web or at the library of classic hotels should be helpful.

Since it is a hotel you're mimicing, don't forget the hotel style collection of high end (looking) toiletries.

    Have fun.

Have you already Disney-fied other rooms? Inquiring minds want to know.
