It sounds like the restaurant at the GCH where I always get suckered into eating breakfast with my friends because they like the all you can eat aspect of the place. What's it called again? When I'm at Disney I'm a get up go kind of person. Who has time for hanging out in a buffet line first thing in the morning at Disneyland? Space Mountain awaits! A coffee and a muffin and I'm ready to go.

Are you talking about Storyteller's Cafe at the GCH? I ate there once for breakfast and didn't care for it. But I'm really picky, so you can't take my word for it. It just seemed like the buffet didn't contain any normal breakfast foods. Eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, I didn't see any of that.

They had raw looking smoked salmon though. *shiver*

YES. That's the place. You should see how anxious I am sitting there thinking about all the fun stuff I could be doing. If I have to eat breakfast at DL then I prefer the River Belle Terrace. Talk about childhood memories!

You simply must take advantage of the early morning short lines! So now, I just don't make any reservations for breakfast unless we have a day we aren't going into the parks. lol

Ahaha.... Me? Wake up at 6am? Pffft!! Let's be sensible here Dave.

Besides, how do you expect me to have the stamina to stay awake until the park closes if I wake up that early?

And while I'm thinking about it, how comes when I go, they never let people in the gates before the opening time? I thought they were suppose to let you into Main Street for a rope drop? Never seen that. Even when I've done the magic morning hour.

And while I'm thinking of it, it's cool getting into the parks an hour before the general public, but come on, only opening one section of the park?! It's just as crowded then!

Constance, how late do you stay in the parks? I haven't been during a busy season in years, but when I did go during those times I would stay until closing. DL has a completely different vibe when you're walking out at 1:00 in the morning.

I LOVE Storytellers' breakfast. Best thing is the smoked salmon on thin sliced bagels with cream cheese, diced onions and capers. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

I am also an advocate of an early start after a great breakfast. Inside the park I prefer Carnation Cafe or Riverbelle Terrace. Of course, it is maddening sitting down to eat, knowing all those pesky locals are nabbing the FastPasses and filling up the Standby lines...

I had breakfast there a couple of months ago and it was pretty awful. McDonald's has better pancakes.

Ha! We really are going to have to organize some kind of meeting at the Resort one day. Unfortunately I can't afford to go now. Darn it.

You should try it. It's REALLY good , and they usually have several things on the menu that are not "foodie."

"however, photos of DL on the walls. They are vintage photos of Hollywood celebrities at classic watering holes, including several with Walt Disney"

Now,see, I thought the ones with Walt were at DL or DLH. like the many celeb-and-Walt pics elsewhere in the hotel. Interesting.

I can't afford to go now either. My husband lost his job today, and now he has to scramble to find a job. I just hope he'll be able to find something that uses his bachelors in accounting degree he just got.
