Walt Disney Studios gets three new lands over a number of years. Frozen, Star Wars and Marvel.

It looks like it includes a World of Color show too.

Looks like a smaller version without the Falcon ride.

Marvel studios with Ironman simulator. Could Armageddon and RocknRollercoaster going away?

It's about time that DLP got some love. This looks to more than double the park size. I have to wonder what order are they going to be doing the building.

This is great news! Although I don't love the franchise-land concept, this should go a long way toward filling out WDSP and finally making it a place that people actually want to be

The concept art is obviously vague at this point, but it looks like they're copying the Star Wars project from DL/WDW and Frozen from TDS (though I suppose there's a chance it could be copied from HKDL, which is supposed to copy Epcot's boat ride and have a version of Mater's Junkyard Jamboree). The portion of SW that they're showing is actually the Falcon ride, not the Battle Escape, though the Falcon prop out front seems to be missing; I wouldn't read too much into it in any way at the moment

I believe the RNRC redress was announced a few weeks ago, but this confirms the overall Marvel redo of that area. I would expect some minor attractions to be included with this (including changing Armageddon to something else) and possibly include some of the upcoming HKDL attractions. The Parks Blog confirms that there will be a new water show in the new lake near the back of the park

As exciting as these individual things are, I'm even more excited that the park finally has a master plan for how to move forward. In addition to the large-scale changes associated with these projects (removal of tram tour, addition of lake, etc.) the park seems to be laid out in such a way that will facilitate future additions beyond these projects in a cohesive manner, rather than the piecemeal approach that's been used since the park opened. There are expansion pads shown in the artwork, and a new approach to parkwide guestflow, which should help make the park feel a lot more intentional than it does now

At risk of reading too much into preliminary concept art, in the Marvel image, the building behind the blue spaceship (rear right) looks suspiciously like Star Tours, with the high roof along the length of the building over the simulators. Presumably this could be a version of the HKDL Iron Man attraction, using simulators relocated from DLP once Star Tours becomes obsolete with the new SW land. The site is currently used for the car stunt show, which presumably will stay around for a few years to come, to keep a major draw at the park while major construction is ongoing

It also looks like a copy of WDW's Alien Swirling Saucers (redressed Mater's) is being added to Toy Story Playland, along the new central promenade. This reinforces my earlier thought that the Frozen area will copy TDS rather than HKDL, since HKDL's includes that same ride system

There's also the mysterious path leading off to the right side of the concept art. It's possible that it's just a backstage road (why show it though?), but it also makes me think that it's possible they'll add some sort of direct connection between the two parks. That path looks like it would wind up near the Chaparral Theater at the back of Frontierland

And the high-resolution version of the park-wide concept art:

Wow, what big news! This morning I read somewhere on the internet that Robert Iger is visiting the Emmanuel Macron, but I would have never expected such big DLP news.

The artwork is a little bit overwhelming, because DLP has never announced such a big project.

I'm the most excited about Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. I love the new movies and have been jealous about the US parks getting those amazing looking lands. I'm also very happy about Marvel Studio, because I think it will be a huge success over here in Europe.

While I have to agree with @FerretAfros that some rides or even lands not based on IPs would have been better for the mix. But unfortunately Disney of today is IP driven and so I made my peace with that.

I'm also pretty excited about the lake, which I'm sure will feature a World of Colour like show.

The only disappointing part is the boulevard leading to the lake. At the moment it isn't themed at all, but I guess that will eventually happen when WDI releases more informations. I would love to see a proper Hollywood Blvd, since it looks like they stick to the Studios theme and keep the Hollywood Tower.

2021 can't come soon enough, but thanks to European laws, Disney has to hand in the blueprints to the local government agencies and I'm sure French DLP fans will dig them out. Some exciting years are coming up for DLP. Hopefully Disney will also allocate some money to Disney Village and the the castle park.

This announcement gets me really excited for our next DLP visit in summer.

Having some more time to think about this, what really impresses me most about this is how big the project is physically. It will easily double or triple the existing park footprint. Part of what makes the existing park so underwhelming is that it's so compact with nothing to explore; even though this won't add a ton of new attractions, it will add a lot to the park, which means the whole thing will take a lot longer to experience

That said, I'm still skeptical of all those empty spots on the map. Surely this investment is big enough (far bigger than the original WDSP expense) that management will think the park is "fixed" when it's done. Given that will likely be in 2025 or later, it will probably be at least another 5 years before those gaps are filled in. I'm really glad that there is a cohesive vision for the park's long-term future, but it's disappointing to think that at the park's 30th anniversary there could still be massive problems with it

I guess we shouldn't read too much into the concept art, but there's a boat on the lake. Maybe the like will be quite big and there will be a boat for transportation.

I'm still surprised that Toy Story Mania is not part of the concept art, because there have been some strong rumours that it will be DLP's next big attraction.

Hopefully Disney is still producing Indiana Jones 5 and rebooting the franchise successfully afterwards, because I'm still hoping to see Adventureland getting the Indy ride. I just can't imagine that Disneyland park will be completely neglected in the upcoming years.

Yah, I'm not sure about the boat. It looks similar to the Friendship Boats that travel Epcot's World Showcase Lagoon, but the lake here seems to be about the same size as DCA's Paradise Bay. It's a big body of water, but I'm not sure it's big enough to require transportation

I agree that it seems odd that TSMM rumors have quieted down. It wouldn't be all that much more expensive to build than the Alien Swirling Saucers clone, and would be a much better overall experience (as fun as the other ride system is). It's a relatively cheap addition, so maybe it will end up in one of those blank spots on the map

I read a rumor somewhere that said in addition to all this work, DLP would get a new E-ticket in 2022 or 2023. It didn't say what that new attraction might be, but the Indiana Jones ride from DL/TDS would obviously make a lot of sense and fit the park well (though it would be nearly 30 years old at that point)

This is a really exciting time for the resort. It seems like more is being done now than at any point since its opening. Even the opening of WDSP wasn't as big as all these projects, which have impacts in both parks, the hotels, and Disney Village

Although the things that are in DV are generally pretty good, the area could use some aesthetic updates. The original design hasn't aged well, and the mid-00's redo hasn't helped much

I hope that Buffalo Bill's Wild West show isn't lost in all this work. I know it's expensive to operate, but it's a really unique experience and something that makes DLP stand out compared to other Disney locations. I was also surprised by how well done it was; I had high expectations going in, and they were exceeded. That's not something that happens often for me. I wouldn't mind some changes to the show (hopefully keeping the character presence to its current level or less), but it would be a real shame to lose it entirely

Disney Village is a mess in its current state. I don't mind the different building styles, but I mind the ugly towers and the red-silver facade of the long building on the let hand side looking towards Lake Disney.

For me the Village doesn't need to have a cohesive look, because no town or area has that, but I love the art deco (?) look of WoDS. so I wouldn't mind to see more of that incorporated into DV.

Honestly I hope that Buffalo Bill has to go. We are living in the 21st century and in my opinion such shows don't fit into this time anymore. Luckily more and more circuses with animals have to close all over Europe, because people realize that animals aren't just for entertaining.

I didn't realize that this was an older thread, but I'm glad that there is going to be some new things going on for DLP. I really enjoyed the park when I visited a few years ago, but even then there was stuff that just didn't fit/work for the parks. Hopefully with the revamp DLP will get a bit more love and attention like it deserves.
