We had a side trip to Universal, and that did use up some gas. Some hotels do charge to park. But most don't. Last trip we stayed at a hotel that was too far to walk (The Holiday Inn on Ball & Walnut). At first we used the ART busses, but we got fed up with the 20 minute waits and lack of service around noon. So we decided to just drive to the garage and ride the trams.

We got in the van first." and on and on... I requested a 9 passenger van since we had a large group last time. But they sent over 2 7 passenger vans. The rest of our group got to DLH 1 hour before us! I bet that driver couldn't wait to get rid of us.
