But, what have you seen at the airport recently that defies logic?

LEt me start...Monday 6:00AM at RDU. The security line, for once, is long. They have a guy opening up carryon suitcases to look for liquids. Most people have them in zip-top baggies like they're supposed to. Then, up walks a guy. They ask him for his liquids. He pulls out a bottle of water, shaving cream, 4 colognes, lotion, some other liquid, liquid deodorant, a knife, a gun (OK...I made the last 2 up).

Does this guy live under a rock?

Next time, I'll give a lesson on how to read a boarding pass!

Started removing stuff from the pockets all over his pants. They stopped him and took him aside for further investigation. I later saw him on the concourse with his family. You would think someone in the military would know the rules (just my opinion).

A: My flight leaves on time and all is well. I get a good seat and everyone behaves.

B: I arrive at PHL, the security line is 4 days long, the flight is delayed until 7:30, only to have us wait another 3 hours, and I get stuck in a middle seat between a sweaty copier salesman and a lactating gypsy.

C: I arrive at PHL, get one look at the place, sit down on the curb, cry, get up, take up life as a nature guide in South Philly.

Quiz answers to follow in a few days

I'm serious a family of 4 with 6 pieces of carry on luggage. The ticket agent didn't bat an eye. I was freaking right out. I so wanted to say something - and pray that they weren't on my flight at the same time. I was shocked to see that you could buy bottled and canned beverages after check in (in Vancouver here we could only buy drinks in a cup with no lid). In the middle of the flight the girl next to me whips a bottle of water out of her bag and starts to drink it. I was appalled at her ignorance. Why do some people think the rules don't apply to them?? I actually wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper, and it was printed, so I hope she sees it!

Why in Hades' name do you have to exit one secure area to go into another? GOOD GRIEF!

Yes, it's a minor thing and we're only out $3 or so, but come ON, Houston - get your act together and build a wall or something that will allow passengers on layover to stay inside the secure area when changing terminals! Sheesh!

I didn't panic because it was pretty obvious that it was an innocent situation and the trouble I might have caused for that family on their way to WDW would have been unspeakable. I did have to wonder just how they got through security with that knife. Couldn't have been in their shoes because they sure check that closely enough.

I did drop an e-mail to Kennedy Airport about their lack of security but I never heard a reply.

And, tonight, the toilet in my hotel room was stopped up.

    This never ends
