I just found Mint Chocolate Chip soft chew candy. I tried one and hated it. There was some of that great flavor, but just so wrong being warm and chewy, with an aftertaste!

My eldest daughter has gotten in to making homemade ice cream and made the mint 'n chip...the first time with the food coloring and the whole deal. The last time was with the dark chocolate mini chips and no food coloring. It was wonderful both time but I preferred the mini chips and no food coloring.

I know what you mean about the way a flavor coming in a different form...I have and broccoli and chocolate theory. I like broccoli and I like chocolate, but I don't want chocolate on my broccoli. I stopped telling everyone about how much I like cinnamon. People kept bringing me cinnamon hard candy...yikes! I like cinnamon on churros, cinnamon rolls, apple pie with double cinnamon... stuff baked with cinnamon, NOT hot cinnamon...I mean is that really even cinnamon?

Breyers is the best - no artificial colors and the chocolate is in chunks, so you can really taste it.

I hate the green color. It's like pistachio ice cream now. It's colored green, flavored like some weird pistachio flavor, and comes with some other kind of nut inside. Huh?

I've seen them at our regular grocery store (surgared variety) for maybe $3 for a smallish bag of 20 or so candies.

I haven't seen them in our grocery stores here in LA or in Washington, but I will try to find what you are talking about. No, three dollars a bag is not too expensive.

OK. You might want to ask your local grocery store manager if they ever carry them and see if he'd be willing to order a case.
