Honest to God I don't get it, but there it is...he's still significantly behind, but recent polls have flipped Florida and Nevada, among others, and damned if it doesn't look as though it might be close after all - which, of course, means he'll have all the ammunition he needs to cry foul Tuesday night, assuming he doesn't surge ahead and win it all in the meantime. How did things ever get so far?
Poll: Clinton Loses Edge in N.H., Is Tied With Trump | UMass Lowell Clinton loses edge in N.H., is now tied with Trump...
Yep. Sorry, Mr. Madison. Looks like it didn't work. There's just too many stupid people. Elitist? You're damn skippy.
I have a feeling that this won't be over on Tuesday, damn it. But who knows? The poll that matters is the actual vote, and hopefully it is a decisive one. If not, I have no idea what happens next. Uncharted waters with a con man like Trump.
Okay guys, I am having enough trouble sleeping I think one major differences (problems) is that many stupid people did not go to the polls. They are all riled up now and it looks like many of them will be voting.
And trying to block others from voting. A US District Court judge in Ohio just issued a restraining order against the Trump campaign due to intimidation of early voters.
I agree with your sentiment in terms of Trump-phobia. But isn't is a sad commentary on our state of affairs that a buffoon like that is the only guy who *does* manage to engage regular folks who ordinarily feel disenfranchised? And yeah, I get that he's the antithesis of Obama (who engaged *other* regular folks who ordinarily felt disenfranchised), but wouldn't it be really neat if ALL politicians worked to engage those folks on a regular basis, so they might get excited to vote for, you know, BETTER candidates? In other words, not all Trump folk are racists, and yeah some are less educated but that doesn't preclude them from voting...I'm just wondering if there's a way to draw them into the process in a positive, constructive way that benefits us all.
Well stated and I wish I had an answer. My father fought for Civil Rights all of his life. Though Black Civil Rights were what was "popular" at the time he wanted to help everyone he felt was at a disadvantage. So many people get so caught up in the foo-foo-rah that they end up voting against their own best interests. I find myself just shaking my head.
