The surgeon would do the second part, removing the stones and fixing the pocket. Well, the radiologist attempted to get the tube where it needed to be but was unable to. The opening in my kidney is just too small. It was not a fun procedure, I wasn't put under and they said that they had given me lots of meds but I still still feeling a lot and was with it enough to know that something was wrong. So my surgery was canceled. We will be calling my surgeon at the end of the week to schedule a more complicated procedure, possibly even removing part of my kidney. I'm home now and frustrated and in some pain. I'm waiting for my prescription to be filled so I can just go to sleep.

Honestly, I'm a little (ok, a lot) stressed out tonight. More hospital bills than we had planned on, more invasive surgery, more time off of work. It's all kind of piling up right now and freaking me out. I know it will all end up OK but I hate when things don't go as planned...

On the positive side not having surgery allowed me to hit a few 75% off Christmas stuff sales! And I'll get to have margaritas at my uncle's house tonight! I'm still worried about work but I'm trying not to freak out as much. I contribute to the Sick Leave Bank so I should be able to get days out of there (hopefully).
